About Us

Quli Qutub Shah Government Polytechnic was established in 1985 at Chandrayangutta, Hyderabad under the auspices of the World bank and the Quli Qutub Shah Urban Development Authority. The institution was started with three branches of Diploma in ECE, MECHANICAL and CIVIL Engineering with an intake of 40 each initially.

          The institution was shifted to new building which is located at Ramanastpura, Chandulal Baradari, Opp: Zoo Park on 20-11-1992.

In 1993, Diploma in Computer Engineering ( DCME ) branch was introduced with an intake of 40 students. Diploma in Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering (DEIE) and Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering ( DEEE ) were also introduced in 1996 and 2008 respectively. In the year 2009, the intake of each branch was enhanced to 60 and the Second Shift was introduced in D.C.E., D.M.E. and D.E.C.E. branches with an intake of 60 each.

         This institution offers admissions exclusively for residents of old city (living in Ward No. 9 and 12 to 23), Hyderabad only. Hence, it stands as one of its kind of institution under the Department of Technical Education, Govenment of Andhra Pradesh.
